Dear Friends,

This Sunday, January 13th, at 2 pm Pacific Time, I will be interviewing Master Mingtong Gu for you on the Sunday Connections broadcast, and here’s how you can join us:

Mingtong acquainted me with the world of qigong, energetic healing, my own recovery from Parkinson’s Disease, and the expanded life that follows. Less than four years ago my body was contracted with pain, tremor, stiffness, and fatigue, and my world was shrinking accordingly. Fortunately, via Mingtong and Wisdom Healing (Zhineng) Qigong, there was a reversal of health and well-being. Today’s blog will introduce you to the man who introduced me to my “miraculous” recovery.

Mingtong, like myself, discovered profound healing through Zhineng Qigong. As a child in China, his early years presented the challenge of poverty, hunger, and disease. His mother performed a most loving act: permitting him to be adopted by a family who could present him with a life of more opportunity. She wanted an education for her son, and Mingtong became the first from his village to attend college. He was graduated from Hangzhou University with a degree in Mathematics. Then, in the US, he received an MA at UCSD and continued studies at Brandeis and Harvard. Eventually his educational path led him to Ohio State, where he received an MFA and began teaching at Columbus College of Art and Design.

Mingtong then returned to China and studied under Grandmaster Pang Ming who is trained in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Pang is the creator of the Zhineng Qigong method, an eclectic form of medical qigong which incorporates the most effective practices from nineteen different body/mind disciplines. Dr. Pang also founded the medicine-less hospital in Huaxia, China. It was here that Mingtong studied and watched numerous “impossible” healings unfold. Over 200,000 people, representing over 185 different illnesses, evidenced a 95% effective improvement rate. It was also here, while receiving his training, that Mingtong recovered from the chronic conditions that had plagued him from childhood: asthma, scoliosis, back pain and kidney weakness.

Mingtong then brought his passion, knowledge, and skills to the US, for which myself and so many others here are so grateful. He founded The Chi Center in Petaluma, California, and holds regular Healing Intensive Retreats there, as well as offering weekend workshops in the Bay Area, Colorado, and other locations. Among his local venues is Spirit Rock Meditation Center, whose co-founder, Jack Kornfeld, states: “Mingtong is full of vitality, wisdom, and skill. He is a real healer and the practices he teaches can change your life.” They did mine. So please come and join us this Sunday, January 13th, at 2 pm Pacific Time on Sunday Connections. I will be interviewing Mingtong and you are invited to call in with your questions. Since a number of you are in time zones that make live call-ins difficult, you are also encouraged to send in questions in advance via the Teleseminar portal listed above. You can then hear the answers via the audio link available at that same address.

Both Mingtong and I will be presenting at the Annual Parkinson’s Summit in Santa Fe the weekend of February 21-24th. Sunday’s broadcast is a good opportunity for a bit of an advanced preview. We hope to see many of you on the air and “on the square” in Santa Fe. For registration see: http://www.summit.parkinsonsrecovery.com

Haola,
Bianca
